Mysore : The professional ethics maintained by veteran journalists should  serve as a guiding light and model to the present generation journalists, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

He was speaking  on the occasion of Patrika Din programmes organised at the Rani Bahaddur Auditorium of Manasa Gangotri here on Tuesday  July 1  under the joint auspices of Karnataka Madhyama Academy, State Information Department and local journalists associations.

The Chief Minister further said the journalists of yesteryears were strict disciplinarians  as far as their profession was concerned,  by setting aside all their personal problems. They had never compromised with professional honour, he said.
