Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has convened an all-party meeting on Sunday to decide the next course of legal action on the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal’s verdict rejecting the interim petition for releasing 7.56 tmcft of water to Karnataka.

The meeting at the conference hall of the Vidhana Soudha will be presided the CM. Leaders of both the Houses of the State legislature, State MPs, and MLAs and MLCs from Dharwad, Gadag, Bagalkot, and Belagavi districts have been asked to attend the meeting.
Siddaramaiah speaking to media said that Water Resources Minister M.B. Patil will hold a meeting with State’s counsel Fali Nariman on Friday to find legal options to set right the injustice meted out to the State by the Mahadayi tribunal.
“Land and water issues, be it Cauvery or Mahadayi, is something that concerns everyone and we need to know everyone’s opinion, cutting across political barriers. We will decide the future course of action based on the outcome of this meeting,” said Siddaramaiah.
