Bengaluru: Liquor sale continues to make new records in the state.
On Wednesday, the state recorded Rs 231.6 crores sale of Indian Made Liquor (IML) and beer, which is a new record in the excise department.
The bulk contributor is Indian Made Liquor with 39 lakh liters of sale. The total value of IML sale is Rs.216 crores.
A total of seven lakh liters of beer worth of Rs.15.6 crores was also sold .
It can be recalled that liquor sale restarted in the state on Monday and on day one liquor worth Rs 45 crores was sold.
The business is expected to spike further by weekend with the supply of the foreign made liquor.
