Bangalore :Media should have self control. Now a days paid news is published where there are no true facts, said Rajya sabha member Seetharam Yechury.

In a state level seminar organised on media and its role in society he said that to control media there is press council, election commission and judiciary. But still paid news is published. Journalists should not go behind money leaving behind the responsibility of bringing change in the society.

News should reflect reality. They should not add thier opinion in it. Both opinion and news is different.

Media should not instigate people to agitate instead they should work towards solving people’s problems. Journos should work like those newspapers during freedom struggle which were impartial, he said.
