Landlord dies in explosion while making crude bomb

Bengaluru: A crude explosive in making blasted and killed a person near Hoskote on April 20, Wednesday late night.

Bike-Car collision, two dead on spot-1The deceased have been identified as Gopinath (32), a resident of Chennigalapura.

According to police, Gopinath was preparing a crude explosive using gun powder and other chemicals when the incident occurred.

The crude explosive (almost nearer to crude bomb) went off accidentally and killed Gopinath on spot, police sources said.

Deceased Gopinath is said to be a landlord and was preparing crude explosives to ward off pigs and other animals entering into his farm.

It is yet to identify whether he used any banned chemicals or materials to make explosives.

Police are investigating the case and search for unauthorized materials if any is on, sources said.

It is a common practice in these areas especially villages bordering Andra Pradesh of using crude explosives and others to ouster wild and stray animals from the farm lands.
