Bengaluru: She befriended a project manager of a real estate firm and later hatched out a plan to rob him along with the latter’s driver. Initially the victim hesitated to reveal the information of that lady and later he had to reveal as the police investigation traced his phone call records. Thus the, police managed to arrest the lady robber and other three and recovered the cash and other materials.

The Banashankari police have arrested a gang of five dacoits including a 19-year-old girl, who had assaulted and robbed a manager with a real estate firm after barging into his house in R K Layout in Padmanabhanagar.
Banashankari police have recovered gold valuables and cash Rs. 20,000 from the arrested accused.
The accused have been identified as Kadireshan alias Karthik alias Handi, 24, a resident of Bilakahalli, Charan, 22, from Adarsha Layout in Hongasandra, Udaya, 25, of SRK Garden in Tilaknagar, Suresh, 23, of Urs Colony in Tilak nagar and Nikita alias Nikki, 19, of Thattaguppe in Bengaluru South taluk. They have been accused of robbing D B Chandru at his house on April 21 night.
Police said that the project manager with the real estate firm – Chandru had met Nikita in a resort in Kanakapura some months ago and they had become friends. She had also visited his house on several occasions and had learnt that he had good money and gold valuables. She allegedly hatched a plot to rob him. On April 21, she learnt that Chandru’s wife and children had gone to their native, and thought that it was the appropriate time to rob him.
Nikita along with Chandru’s driver Kadireshan sketched out a plan for the dacoity and Kadireshan took help of his other friends to commit the crime. On that particular day, at about 9.30 pm, the four accused barged into Chandru’s house and threatened him with a knife. They inured him on his neck and right hand and robbed him of cash Rs. 40,000, 100 UK Pounds, a mobile, camera, two gold rings, a chain and a wrist watch and escaped, the police said.
The same night, the victim filed a police complaint. He was questioned about the phone calls he made on the day of incident. Initially, he did not revealed that he had called Nikita but later informed that he made the last call to Nikita before the incident. Based on that, the police team searched for her and found out that she had vacated the house. When she was traced based on her mobile network, it was learnt that she was changing places regularly. Finally she was traced in Udupi and got arrested, the police said.
Based on her information the other gang members were arrested. Cash Rs. 20,000, a gold chain and two rings, watch and camera, the bike and car used to commit the crime have been recovered from the accused. The accused have been remanded in judicial custody.
