Bengaluru: A construction labourer was killed after he slipped from the first floor of an under-construction building in Rajajinagar 6th Block on Saturday.
The police have identified the deceased as Raju, 23, a native of Arsikere. He was a watchman and labourer in the same building. On Saturday night, Raju, allegedly in an inebriated condition, went to attend a nature’s call in the lift pit on the first floor and slipped. He sustained severe head injuries.
According to the police, the incident came to light when workers came to work the next day and saw him lying in a pool of blood. They rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The Magadi Road police have taken up a case of death caused by negligence against the owner of the house and the contractor.
