K’taka’s COVID tally crosses 1K mark; Major spike in cases in DK, B’luru Urban

Bengaluru: Karnataka’s COVID tally crossed the 1000 mark with the addition of 45 new cases on Thursday.

The total has reached 1032 and the state has not witnessed any fatalities on Thursday.

The major spike in cases was reported from Dakshina Kannada district, which received a batch of repatriates from Dubai on Tuesday night. As many as 16 of them have been tested positive.

Meanwhile five from Udupi district, who too arrived in the same flight have been tested positive.

Other districts include: Bengaluru Urban (13), Bidar (3), Chithradurga (2) Kolar (1), Shivamogga (1), Hassan (3) and Bagalkote (1)
