Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka has issued a notification stating that it will remain closed for the period from Wednesday April 15, 2020 to Thursday, April 30 in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
Matters of extreme urgency at Principle Seat at Bengaluru and Benches at Dharwad as well as Kalaburagi will be heard via video conferencing on April 16, 21, 24, 28 at 11 am or on other day as directed by the Chief Justice.
No conventional filing will be allowed during the period, and the procedure of e-filing has been previously notified.
The notification further states that during the closure period, no members of the Bar or their Registered Clerks shall be permitted to do the rectification of office objections in the matters which have already been filed.
Entry will only be allowed for payment of process fee on the aforesaid dates between 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM. This will be limited to only the members of the Bar and their Registered clerks who have moved memos.
This direction will apply to Principal Seat at Bengaluru as well as Benches at Dharwad and Kalaburagi.
