Bengaluru: State Governor Vajubhai Vala’s term as the Governor of the state concluded on Saturday evening at 5 pm. The union home ministry is yet to take any decision on his replacement or continuation.

Vala assumed charge as the governor of the state on September 1, 2014.

According to the sources, the union home ministry is likely to name an in-charge governor to the state on Monday afternoon. “There is no possibility of extending the services of the Vala,” explained a BJP leader.
