Nelamangala: A KSRTC bus plying from Hasan to Bengaluru went up in flame charring a woman to death, near Arishinakunte toll gate on NH-4 during wee hours of Tuesday. The deceased is Bhagyamma, a resident Bengaluru.
The fire was first spotted in the engine of the bus, which engulfed the entire vehicle within seconds.
It is said that a total of 37 passengers were saved from the raging fire. While one died, another woman and a little boy have sustained severe burns.
The fire personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
Nelamangala police has registered a case.
