Bengaluru: A day long protest called by the KSRTC and BMTC employees seeking fulfillment of their various demands, on Thursday seems to have failed as the bus services were normal across the state.

It was earlier feared that BMTC and KSRTC service may be disrupted crippling the public movement due to this bandh call.

However, on Thursday morning the services were on as usual.

The KSRTC and BMTC employees are pressurising the state government to consider them as government employees and extend all the benefits that the government employees enjoy.

There are 1.25 lakh employees in four State Transport Corporations and the protesters are pressing for government payroll for all of them.

The hunger strike is being held at Freedom Park in the city.
