Bangalore: State Housing Minister Ambarish has informed that  water from the KRS reservoir would be released to all canals from Thursday July 31 for the benefit of farmers as the reservoir was reaching its full level owing to good rainfall in Cauvery river basin area.

The Minister was speaking to reporters here on July 30.

It may be recalled here that the Raitha Sangha and the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists had resorted to a protest recently on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway at Mandya demanding release of  water to the VC Canal.
