Krishna refutes rumours of rejoining the Congress

Bengaluru: Former chief minister and veteran leader SM Krishna is constantly in news of late specifically because of his absence from active political scenes.

Krishna, who had joined the BJP after breaking all ties with the Congress about one year ago has been passive in his ‘new abode’.

Rumours are rife that the veteran leader, who quit the Congress citing that he has been sidelined, continues to be sidelined even in the new party. Soon, news of Krishna planning to go back to the Congress has been making rounds. According to recent reports, KPCC Chief Dr G Parameshwar and Minister DK Shivakumar had held one round of talkswith the veteran leader and convinced him to join the party again. It is said that AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi has given green signal for thesame.

But, SM Krishna himself has refuted all the claims.

Reacting to media reports of a rift between the BJP leadership and him, Krishna has said that h has been away from the political show and campaigning due to ‘time constrains’.

“I will campaign for the saffron party if time permits,” Krishna has said.
