Bengaluru: KPCC has decided to field its working president Satish Jarakiholi as a party candidate for the Belagavi Lok Sabha by-election.

By-election has been necessitated following the death of incumbent MP Suresh Angadi who was a union minister. He succumbed to Covid 19 on September 23, 2020.

Satish Jarakiholi, an MLA from Yamakanamardi belongs to the strong Valmiki community. He is also considered very close to former CM Siddaramaiah.

According to the sources, BJP is likely to field one of the members from the Angadi family as Jarakiholi will prove to be a strong candidate.
