KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao and friends travel to South Africa

Bengaluru: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao and his friends, including newly elected MLA Rizwan Arshad, Ajay Singh, Krishna Byre Gowda, Ravi Bose and others, left for South Africa on a vacation.

These leaders, who are considered to be close friends in the Congress’ state unit, will travel to various tourist destinations in South Africa and return to the state after ten days.

Dinesh Gundu Rao resigned as KPCC president on December 9, however, the AICC asked him to continue as the state unit president as finding his replacement is proving to be a Herculean task owing to all the lobbying by interested parties.

It can be recalled that three days ago, Rao met AICC interim-president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi and discussed the prevailing political situation in the state.

She assured him that a news KPCC president would be announced soon.
