Kolar: Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja has said that Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in a simple manner for the last two years due to Covid – 19 pandemic and this time, let us celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava in a meaningful manner to set an example for the State.
Speaking at a meeting to discuss the 2022 Kannada Rajyotsava programme held at the Judicial Hall of his office here on Friday October 28, he said that tableau should be paraded from Government offices on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. He said that the procession of portraits of persons who have achieved great achievements in Kolar District and tableau related to the art and culture of the District will start from Sri Vishweshwaraiah Stadium, he said.
Tableaues on personalities who have made great achievements in the State and portraits of personalities like K. C. Reddy, D. V. Gundappa, Masti Venkatesh Iyengar and others from the District will be displayed in procession. The work assigned to various departments should be performed responsibly, he noted.
Tableaus should be displayed to educate the people and children about Kannada Culture and language, with good display of culture, land, and water of the State.
