Kolar: The parents of a minor girl who was killed allegedly for falling in love with a boy from Dalit community have been sent to14-days judicial custody here on Thursday, May 26.

Byra Reddy and Padmamma, the parents of Priya Reddy (17), were produced before the JMFC court in Srinivaspur taluk on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that on May 22, Priya was allegedly killed by her father after discovering her relationship with a boy from the Bhovi community(Dalit). The accused parents were arrested and were lodged in the Kolar sub-jail, while their minor son, who helped his father in the honour killing, was sent to the Juvenile Home in Kolar.
