Mangaluru: A couple was brutally murdered in broad daylight at Elinje near Kinnigoli on Wednesday, April 29.

The deceased couple has been identified as Vincent D’Souza (48) and Helin D’Souza.

Sources from Mulki police station informed that there was property dispute between Vincent D’Souza and his neighbour Alfonse Saldanha.

Quarrel erupted between both families on Wednesday morning over the property issue and in fit of rage, Alfonse assaulted Vincent and his wife Helen with lethal weapons.

It is said that Alfonse hit the couple with a spade and hacked them to death before fleeing the scene.

After the incident, Mulki police rushed to the spot and started investigation.
