
Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Corona pandemic is growing endemically at a rapid pace. Current trends indicate that it will cross 7000 by the EOD.
The state recorded 308 fresh cases taking the total tally to 6,824. Udupi has crossed 1,000 mark and another 2 districts are close to that mark. Minister of Medical Education and in charge of COVID19 Dr. Sudhakar has however clarified in Kalbargi that there will not be another Lockdown.

Udupi with 14 fresh cases has 1,005 positive cases. Kalburgi which recorded 67 fresh cases has 883 cases and Yadagiri which recorded 52 fresh cases has 787 cases. Overall Karnataka has 2,995 active cases.

Of the total 308 new cases, 25 are international travelers and 208 cases are interstate returnees, a majority of them are again from Maharashtra.
While most deaths are of elderly patients, two deaths have shocked the state. A 23-year-old in Bengaluru and a 26-year-old in Mangaluru.
