Karnataka state to get its own education policy soon

Bengaluru: The state government has decided to introduce a new education policy in line with the National Curriculum Framework. As per the policy the state government wants to introduce 5+3+3+4 model till graduation. The Post Graduation will be two years duration.
The state government is also planning to introduce local subjects extensively in the school curriculum to ensure that the textbooks reflect the surroundings of the student.
According to the sources, primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar wrote a letter to the principal secretary, primary education department in this regard. He requested the secretary to form a committee of experts in this regard to suggest modalities.
