Bengaluru: In the past 24 hours, there have been five new deaths reported, with two from Maharashtra and one each from Chhattisgarh, Delhi, and Karnataka owing to Covid-19.

The data updated showed that the death toll had climbed to 5,30,528 with eight fatalities, including three that Kerala reconciled.

The number of Covid-19 cases in India increased by 833 in a single day, bringing the total to 4,46,65,643, but the number of active cases declined to 12,553, stated a data from the Union Health Ministry updated on Saturday November 12.
