Bengaluru: On Sunday May 2, Karnataka report a record of 37,733 new infections with 217 new deaths, said the health department. The death toll has risen to 16,011.

COVID cases in the state sums up to 16,01,865 with 4,21,436 active cases.

In total, 11,64,398 people were discharged in the state including 21,149 on Sunday May 2.
