Bengaluru: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) announced the results of the 2nd PUC (Pre-University Course) exam today. The exams were held from March 1 to March 22 across the state.
This year, 81.15% of students passed the exam, with 5,52,690 students out of a total of 6.98 lakh passed. The results were declared at a press conference in Bengaluru and will be available online at 11 am on the official websites karresults.nic.in and pue.kar.nic .
In Arts stream, total 1,28,448 students passed. In Commerce, 1,74,315 students passed and in Science, 2,49,927 students passed.
Dakshina Kannada district secured the first place with pass percentage of 97%. Udupi secured second spot at 96.80%, while surprisingly, Vijayapura came in third with 94.89%. Gadag district registered the lowest pass percentage.
A total of 6.98 lakh students appeared for the exams, with nearly equal participation from boys (3.3 lakh) and girls (3.6 lakh). The exams were conducted at 1,124 centers across the state.
