Bengaluru: The response for the State-wide bandh called over Mahadayi water dispute tribunal’s interim verdict was more or less poor in the state capital.
The issue drew lukewarm attention after several organisations called for bandh in Bengaluru.
Although a few organisations staged protests in several parts of the city, it failed to make any impact on the daily affairs. Couple of organizations gathered near Freedom Park, Gandhi statue and other places and shouted slogans against the tribunal as well as the State government for not handling the issue tactfully.
A handful of people from Karnataka Rakshana Vedike and others were seen holding placards against the verdict. They urged PM Narendra Modi to interfere in the matter and do justice to the state.
The city bus transport system and other mode of public transport remained unaffected.
