Karachi bakery manager receives threat over phone

Bengaluru: Karachi Bakery at 100 feet road in Indiranagar of the city is in news again.

Bakery manager P Sukumar has approached the Indiranagar police alleging that he has received death threat over the phone.

In his complaint to the police P Sukumar informed that on Wednesday around 1 pm, he received an internet call. “The person on the other side introduced himself as Vikky Shetty. He warned me against continuing with the Karachi Bakery and threatened of gutting the bakery if the name is not changed,” he informed.

According to the police sources, the caller spoke in the Hindi language. “The voice sample of the person has been sent for CID lab. The CID officials will pursue the matter,” informed city police.

A section of people had demanded the management of the bakery to change the name after the Pulwama attack.
