Bengaluru: Fearing that Covid-19 pandemic may cripple the life in his hometown Kanakapura, KPCC president DK Shivakumar, who is also the sitting MLA, held discussion with vendors, farmers, leaders and people from all walks of life in the town on Sunday late evening. In the meeting it was decided to follow voluntary lockdown in the town till July 1.
In the meeting, it was decided that people shall not roam in the town unnecessarily and will follow the lockdown norms that were earlier in place.
According to the decision taken in the meeting, only essential services will be available in the town. Flower, groceries and vegetable business will be allowed only till 11 am.
DK Shivakumar informed in the meeting that it is important to check the spread of Covid-19 in the town as it may disrupt normal life. He also asked the people to follow good hygienic practices.
