Bengaluru: The Banaswadi police have arrested the sixth accused involved in the molestation of a woman on January 1. The police have identified the accused as George alias Pappi (21), an electrician. The police said that Pappi was arrested at Anekal while returning to Bengaluru. He is accused of aiding the two main accused, who rode up to the woman walking in the alley in the early hours of January 1, and sexually harassed her. George was among the four men who blocked the entry way into the alley, as their two friends – who had been stalking the woman – rode into the alley to molest the victim.

The entire incident was caught on camera, and by January 3, the footage had caused a national outrage. While five of the accused were arrested by January 7, George had eluded Banaswadi police.
