Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who had promised a government job on compassionate grounds to Vidya, wife of slain police officer Kallappa Handibhag, handed over the appointment letter to her at his official residence Krishna on Monday, September 26.

Vidya has been posted as the sub-registrar of Bailhongal in Belagavi district.

Kallappa Handibhag, DySP of Chikkamagaluru sub-division had committed suicide a few months ago following allegations of kidnap and extorting Rs 10 lakh ransom from the victim. Investigation is still on into the case.
