Bengaluru: Special squads have been formed to investigate the murder of Kalburgilitterateur Dr M.M. Kalburgi, said Home Minister Dr G. Parameshwara on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters in the city, Parameshwara said, “We have formed special squads to investigate the murder of Kalburgi. The FSL?reports have found evidence that bullets fired at the three had similar marks. Our police are following the leads and we will nab the culprits soon.”
He further added that the CID has collected some clues pertaining to assassination of noted Kannada litterateur Dr M.M. Kalburgi in Dharwad last year.
The initial investigation by the CID sleuths has revealed that there was similarity in the bullets used by assassins to kill Dr Kalburgi with that of Govind Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar. The government has taken the incident seriously and constituted special police teams to arrest the culprits. There had been delay in investigation due to absence of any evidences to trace out the assailants. We would certainly nab the culprits at the earliest, he said.
