Bengaluru: Minister for Bengaluru Development K J George on Friday launched a new app titled Namma Metro, the official app of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited for the benefit of Namma Metro commuters in the city.
The BMRCL has brought out an android application in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. It provides all necessary information to commuters for planning their trip between any two places using Namma Metro rail service and the feeder bus service provided by BMRCL and BMTC respectively.
The app titled Namma Metro is the BMRCL’s official app and it can be downloaded from Google play store. It enables public to obtain various details such as static information related to the trains such as Namma Metro line map, feeder bus routes, fares between destinations, route map of journey travel mode hange points and distance from originating station to the destination.
The minister also received 100 wheel chairs donated by the Rotary Club for the benefit of commuters at various metro stations. BMRCL Managing Director Pradeep Singh Kharola, Rotary District 3190 Governor H R Ananth and Rotary Bangalore Midtown President Nishu Jouhari were present on the occasion.
