Bengaluru: ‘Time’ does not seem to be in favour of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Otherwise what would prevent senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and others to remain silent when Hubballi-Dharwad MP and BJP Karnataka Chief Prahlad Joshi launched scathing attack against Siddaramaiah in the Parliament over the diamond-studded Hublot issue.

The silence is being interpreted as trouble for CM looming large.

Ever since the Rs 70 lakh luxury watch issue was out, the Congress, which has always been up in arm against the PM for his expensive suits has lost its face.

It is said that lately, when the CM said that the watch worth lakhs was gifted to him by his friend, the Congress high command was dissatisfied with the explanation.

The joint session of Karnataka Legislature too was rocked by the watch issue over the last two days and argument over the watch reportedly died down on Thursday after the CM handed over the watch to the Speaker, declaring it as state asset on Wednesday evening.

But, that evidently did not suffice Sonia Gandhi, who refused to stand by Siddaramaiah in the Parliament.

It is further said that when Joshi was attacking the Congress over corruption cases and failed administration, Gandhi Scion Rahul reportedly walked out of the house, to which Joshi reacted saying that the Congress is not used to listening to others.

All in all, the silence of senior leaders is strongly evincing a possibility of change in state political front.
