
Bengaluru: With temperatures rising in the state, the election battle field too appears to to be getting hotter by the days with major stake holders sparring to gain advantage. In the fast changing dynamics after the poll dates were announced, Malikayya Guttedar, the six-time MLA from Afzalpur Assembly Constituency in Gulbarga district is likely to join Bharatiya Janata Party.
Guttedar having strong influence in the Hyderbad-Karnataka region has agreed to join the saffron brigade after holding talks with State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa.
BJP National President Amit Shah is likely to welcome the powerful leader at a party convention in Mysuru in the near future.
Guttedar is reported to be unhappy with the state party organisation and the government after he was sidelined in the party matters apart from being denied the ministerial berth in the past .
He is likely to submit his resignation to the assembly speaker and him switching sides is considered as a major setback to Congress in H-K region.
