Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy revealed JD (S)’ new plan on campaign for water under Mekedatu Project on Friday January 7. JD (S) plans to launch its Janata Jaladhare Yatra on January 26, he informed.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said that Congress’ padayatra is a political move, and added that the JD (S) is also ready with a ‘Ganga Rath’, a modified vehicle, which will be used for its campaign on Mekedatu project. The yatra will continue till the 2023 polls, covering 51 places along the banks of rivers in Karnataka, he added.

Kumaraswamy said that JD (S) intends to inform people about the injustice being meted out by the Centre to the State’s water resource needs. 2022 will be dedicated to strengthen JD (S) as a political organisation, and also to chalk out people-friendly policies,” he asserted.
