Bengaluru: After the BJP’s Parivarthana Yathre valedictory by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Congress party’s Janashirvada Yathre by AICC President Rahul Gandhi, it is the turn of Janata Dal (Secular) party’s Vikasa Parva to be held at the state capital Bengaluru from February 17.
JDS will organise a huge public conference near Rayon School at Nitte Meenakshi College Main Road of Yelahanka on February 17 and around 10 lakh people are expected to participate in the event. In the first public conference, after allying with the Bahujan Samajavadi Party (BSP), senior leaders including BSP Supremo Mayavati, JDS Supremo H D Devegowda and State President H D Kumaraswamy will also participate.
Parking arrangements have been made in 500 acres of land; preparations for the conference to be held in 130 acres of land have been completed. Around 100 election campaign vehicles will be launched on the occasion. The first list of 140 candidates will be unveiled, the sources said.
Senior leader will dictate an oath of clean, transparent, corruption-free administration to the candidates. As a precautionary measure to avoid traffic jams, the movement of vehicles has been diverted or banned in few places.
