Bengaluru: After the BJP released its list of ‘star campaigners’ ahead of the Assembly by-polls, the Janata Dal (Secular) has also released its list.

According to the list out of 40-star campaigners, nine are from JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda’s family.

Interestingly, the party has decided to keep MLA G T Deve Gowda out of the list.

Out of 15 Assembly constituencies that will be going to polls on December 5, the JD(S) has fielded candidates in four constituencies.

It has also extended support to Gokak Assembly Constituency’s Congress candidate Lakhan Jarkiholi and independent candidate from Hoskote, Sharath Bachegowda.

The party has refrained from fielding any candidates in the Kagwad and Athani constituencies.
