Bengaluru: According to the tri-monthly report of the ‘Move in Sink’ Institution, which studied about the traffic density of Bengaluru, traffic density is increasing in the city and it takes around one hour to travel an average 16 km.
‘Compared to last year, the traffic density has been increased by 6%,’ said the report.
The road construction and repair work in the state capital is becoming a hurdle for the movement. To minimize the traffic density, bridges are being constructed, roads are being extended, but yet people can’t escape traffic snarls.
‘The outer ring road from Eco world to Dodmanekkundi road faces highest road density. In 2017, Prestige Tech park road was in first place among the roads with highest traffic density. This time it has gone down to 6th place. Bannerghatta road jumped from 6th place to 2nd position,’ the report said adding that a romping nine crore vehicles were registered in the city over the last 15 months.
