Bengaluru: It seems there is no let up in cases being piled on Karnataka’s major irrigation minister D K Shivakumar. Sources close to the minister indicated that the Income Tax Department had on Tuesday, served him with another notice, this time related to alleged tax evasion, just a week after he got a reprieve from the court in the destruction of evidence case.
According to the sources close to the minister, the IT department has sent a notice on alleged tax evasion to DKShi and his family members. The notice was served to DKShi’s Sadashivanagar residence.
But neither minister nor IT department officials shared any details about the fresh notice.
Fresh trouble: according to the sources, DKShi is facing fresh trouble. “ED and IT have already lodged a complaint against him with the Election Commission of India and SEBI. He is facing a big-time IT trouble,” said sources close to him.
