Bengaluru: Central Crime Branch police on Sunday arrested two men, Asgar (32), a resident of Sampangiramnagar, and Jayaram alias Tangam (24), for alleged cricket betting.

Police seized Rs 2 lakh, seven mobile phones and a laptop from them.

According to police sources, a special team raided a house in Doddakannalli in HSR Layout based on a tip-off, and nabbed the accused while they were taking bets over phone on an IPL match. Another bettor, Rupesh, managed to escape.
