Bangalore : State Minister for Infrastructure Development R Roshan Baig has said that talks have been held between MGM and Paramount Studio with regard to setting up of an international film city at Hesaraghatta in the outskirts of Bangalore.
Replying to a query from MLC Tara Anuradha during the question hour in the Legislative Council on Friday June 27, the minister said though there have been talks about an international film city since the past 30 years, the present government would ensure that the project is implemented. He informed that a final decision would be taken after talks with leaders of Kannada film industry.
He also stated that the rules to permit film shooting in the state would be relaxed and a single window system would be brought about to see that film teams did not face much trouble in seeking permission.
