Insider v/s Outsider debate kicks start in K’taka cabinet?

Bengaluru: The insider and the outsider debate which is rocking the Bollywood seems to have started in Karnataka politics too.

The BSY government in the state has completed one year in power and there are possibilities of a cabinet rejig during mid-August.

If sources are to be believed the CM is may induct a few new faces this time, but there are reports that a few BJP leaders are upset because the cabinet had maximum number of ‘outsiders’ who had recently joined the party.

There are 28 ministers in BSY’s cabinet at present and 18 of them are ‘outsiders’- the ones who came into the BJP from Congress or from other parties. The core BJP members who became MLAs and ministers are in minority.

It is said that the high command too has taken note of the same and has promised to safeguard interest of the core BJP members. The present cabinet has seniors like Eshwarappa, Jagadish Shettar, CT Ravi, Suresh Kumar who have always been with the BJP. The remaining ministers have at least once been in other parties in their political lifetime.

Meanwhile, the ‘outsiders’ say that they continue to be outsiders even if they have spent ten yeaars in the BJP because they are not close to the Sangh.

Further, it is also said that the BJP high command is not impressed with the administraton of a few such ministers and these ‘outsiders’ may be replaced soon and this time young and new core BJP faces will get a chance.
