Bengaluru: In the multi-thousand I Monetary Advisory (IMA) scam, the CBI has sought permission from the state government to file a charge sheet against three officers who are facing allegations of receiving kickbacks from the company founder Mohammed Mansoor Khan. The CBI has filed two charge sheets in the case against 23 persons, including Mohammed Mansoor Khan, the founder, and MD of IMA. The agency will file a supplementary charge sheet against these officials once the government grants sanction, CBI sources said.

According to the sources, CBI sought permission to file a charge sheet against then DC of Bengaluru Urban district BM Vijayashankar, then Assistant Commissioner LC Nagaraju and village accountant N Manjunath.

CBI alleges that this trio helped the prime accused Khan to collect a huge sum of cash from the innocent people by allowing him to continue his company’s operations.
