II phase voting begins in 14 LS constituencies of North K’taka region

Bengaluru: II phase voting started in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state mostly located in the North and Hyderabad Karnataka region.

The voting started at 7 am. In city areas, the voters stood in the queue since early morning to cast their votes at the earliest.

According to the state police control room, no major violence or untoward incident have been reported from any place on the eve of the polling.

In the second phase, the fate of several senior most leaders of the state including Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, GM Siddeshwara of BJP, young Turks including BY Raghavendra of BJP, Madhu Dandavate of JDS, Vinaya Kulkarni and Eshwar Khandre of Congress will be decided.

Brisk voting: According to the early trends, the voting started briskly. With the temperature expected to soar by noon, the voters are coming in a large number.
