IBM techie murder accused sent to 5-days police custody

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police on Friday brought Sukhbir Singh, IBM techie murder accused, to the city, and has been taken into police custody for five days.
IBM employee murder case: Accused arrested in Haryana -1According to police, the accused who was working as a computer network technician was already married by concealed the fact with the techie.

Singh had approached Kusum, a divorcee, on a matrimonial portal and then added her on Facebook. Later they exchanged phone numbers and finally met at Kusum’s apartment in Kadugodi on Tuesday.

“Our team arrested him from his native village in Haryana and brought him to Bengaluru on Thursday night. Valuables belonging to the victim, which Sukhbir had taken, have been seized,” said an investigating officer to sources.

“We are trying to find out if the murder was committed in a fit of rage or was pre-planned. We are probing why he reached out to her through a matrimonial site despite his marital status,” the officer added.

He was produced before a magistrate on Friday.
