Bengaluru: BJP state unit president, former CM BS Yeddyurappa surprised the BJP lawmakers by stating that he is not nurturing ambitions to become the CM.
“I request all my party leaders to not cause me embarrassment by predicting the fate of this coalition government,” he stated.
Speaking to the reporters in Hubballi he stated that all must wait till May 23. “Let us wait. Once Lok Sabha election results are announced we will get a clear picture,” he said.
He also stated that senior Congress and JDS leaders will bite the dust in Karnataka. “The BJP will win in over 22 seats in the state,” he predicted.
He alleged that both in Chincholi and Kundagol by-election scheduled on May 19, the Congress is using money and muscle power to win the seats. “But voters will teach a good lesson to the JDS and the Congress,” he said.
He also stated that CM HD Kumaraswamy didn’t keep up his words on his budget announcements. “He is a lier,” he said.
