Bengaluru: The city police arrested a techie from Hyderabad for allegedly faking signature of Infosys foundation chief Sudha Murthy to convince Telugu superstar Vijay Devarakonda to become the brand ambassador for his mobile application brand.

Arrested has been identified as the L Sayikrishna. He had sent a registered letter to Devarakonda by forging the signature of Sudha Murthy with a fake letterhead carrying the name of her foundation.

Sayikrishna thought that it is easy to convince Devarakond by using the name of Sudha Murthy. However, the plan went awry when the actor’s team alerted the Infosys Foundation officials.

Based on the information they collected, the foundation had lodged a complaint with the police and the techie fell in police net.
