Bengaluru: A security guard murdered his wife by stabbing her 22 times and later tried to commit suicide by stabbing self in JP nagar first phase of the city. The injured security guard has been admitted to Victoria hospital for the treatment.

According to the JP nagar police, Kumar, a security guard working with a high end apartment in the JP nagar first phase murdered his wife Geetha (33) on Tuesday night by stabbing her 22 times.

Illicit relationship between his wife and a local resident is alleged to be the reason for the murder.

Kumar informed the police that since the last few days his wife had an illicit relationship with a local resident. “Even though I requested her to stop the relationship she continued. On Tuesday she threatened me that she will break the marriage and walkway with our 9 years-old-son. This resulted in a quarrel and I stabbed her,” Kumar informed the police.

Police registered a murder case against Kumar. He is recovering in the hospital. His nine-year-old son has been sent with his grand parents who are living in Andhra Pradesh.
