Ramanagara: Forest guards shot dead a youth while he was hunting wild animals at Uyyamballi near Kanakapura taluk on March 16.

Guru (24), a resident of Doddaladahalli village of Kanakapura taluk is the deceased. Four youth including Guru had ventured into the forest area near Uyyamballi in Kanakapura Taluk to hunt wild animals.

The Forest guards opened fire at the hunting team and Guru fell to the bullets dying on the spot. The incident occurred in Sathanur police station limits.

Police and forest officials visited the area.
