Hunsuru: To avoid conflict between Humans and Animals, the State government along with tribal people have come up with various programmes said Ramanath Rai, Minister of Forests and Environment, Govt. of Karnataka.
He was speaking after inaugurating the works of ‘Long stretch Railing erection’, installed for the first time in country, at the National Park of Veeranahosa Halli at Hunsuru Taluk.

Speaking on the occasion he said, “the conflict between human and animals especially humans and elephants, will reduce due to the construction of this railway bridge. This is an entirely different concept which has been initiated for the first time in the entire country by a state government. The barrier will be of 33 kilometres length, which costs around Rs 212 crore and this type of barrier will be constructed in Bandipura,Virajapete and Madikeri”, the minister proudly announced.
“This is to avoid the conflict between humans and animals in Nagarahole forest, and to stop the pressure on forest reserves, houses will be constructed for the tribal people. 280 people who have self converted towards house culture at Nagapura are given with title deed. 276 families of Shetty Halli, Lakkapatana of First stage and Second Stage will be benefited with a title deed in coming days”, he added
Further, he said that the Nagarahole forest area is very sensitive and to avoid forest fires in these areas the government along with forest people will take more security steps and he heaped appreciation on the forest care taker for maintaining it well.
MLA of Hunsuru Taluk H P Manjunath, Chief Forest officer G V Suguru, Vinay Luthra, Manoj Kumar, Jagadeesh, Member of Hunsur Taluk Panchayath Sundaramma and others were present.
