Hours after naming chiefs of various boards, CM withdraws appointment of four MLAs

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who issued an order appointing 24 MLAs as chairmen to various Boards and Corporations, on Monday to mark the first anniversary of the BJP government, has now shocked many by withdrawing the appointment of four MLAs, on the same day.

The appointments of Chitradurga MLA JH Thippereddy, Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon, Gangavati MLA Paranna Eshwarappa Munavalli and Kanakagiri MLA Basavaraj Dadesoor stand cancelled, said sources.

Close on the heels of this development, Chitradurga MLA Thippereddy expressed his disappointment and said that he is feeling cheated as his aspirations have not been fulfilled.

It is now said that the attitude of the BJP MLAs has made the CM withdraw these four appointments.
